The car I bought is newer, and has just 21k on the clock, oh and I just found that is an import from Africa, and has some nasty body panel marks! I am a unhappy camper!

If you've bought it from a dealer and they didn't advise you that it's a South African import then they may be guilty of misrepresentation.

where did he mention South Africa? Could have been Nigeria or Ghana?

I always buy on condition. Mileage is not a good indicator of a cars condition, although obviously high mileage will potentially increase wear on various components.

But 50k on a 8 year old car is nothing.
