AMD RADEON RX VEGA VII NOW IN STOCK & INSANE DEALS ON VEGA 56 & 64!!

Just purchased the Sapphire VEGA 56 Yesterday and now the price has dropped 30 quid :( Will OCUK honour the new price if I contact them do you think ?

Actually that 3yr warranty on Sapphire came about from a conversation I had with them this morning and got them to agree to giving 3yr warranty. :)

You will find competitors are 2yr on Sapphire.

I was a bit confused about it before, but is the 3 years through OcUK or return to base?

Honestly every person on earth who has spent years spending more on Asus cards than the alternatives when they are often worse cooling, are stupid as hell. Every time they all have reference cards and people pay 10-20% more for Asus for the exact same product you only encourage Asus to keep upping prices, which encourages the cheaper cards to have their prices increased.

Buy the cheapest, ignore the rest, then the prices on the rest come down. It's simple market economics yet consumers are too stupid to help themselves.

I understand this and have been in the game for years but we are talking about identical cards.. the only difference is the stickers on the fans.

I could understand if it was turbo card or AIB cooler but this makes no sense at all Unless this is simply OCUK playing the mark up game. I worked in retail for years and we would never do anything like this kind practise. Many a year with console launches and shortages of those we would never hike the price up if we only had limited stock it would still always sell at RRP and never just hike the price to pray on demand.

Plus i no rumour is no AIB custom cards but could you imagine the price they would charge if they did...

I thought AMD Looked after their customers and offered Value ? :p

If Ryzen 3000 series destroys Intel don't expect cheap pricing...

Thats why being a fanboi of any kind is a silly position to hold.

Up to £900 for 2080 performance? Way to go AMD

It's not amd pricing, just retailers doing their usual gouge when a new GPU launches.

Strangely, despite sharing the same sentiment with Asus products, I always end up with them. Except I only buy them 2nd hand so maybe those who are happy to pay more are also happy to sell for less?

To be fair if it does "Destroy" Intel why should they sell it dirt cheap ? End of the day they need to make money, something that they've struggled to do until recently.

But I see what you are getting at

It's nice to see intel on the back foot for a while, they fed us the bare minimum for years, came out with excuses as to why their dies weren't soldered and why we don't need more than 6 cores. Then ryzen comes and all of a sudden more cores and soldered dies is the order of the day. They drip fed us for years, rested on their laurels then ryzen and threadripper planted a hard boot into Intels stones. I really hope ryzen 3000 not only competes with 9900k but beats it by a reasonable margin, that will then hopefully spur on some cpu wars.
