Anyone have allergies to cats?

My daughter is allergic to cats and until it was confirmed we removed the cat completely from the household by sending it to a friends house for a few weeks.
By the time the medical results came back we already knew anyway because the improvement was near immediate once the cat was gone, twas plus for me as well because I hate the things!

I do and don't! My eyes might start to itch if I'm around them too much, or my head lol. But cats are mint, so I tolerate the small negative :p

I have an undiagnosed cat allergy. My girlfriend has a cat and at first it was mainly rubbing my eyes and face got a bit puffy but that's all but gone now it's taken on another form and I have breathing issues which I assume are from the cat. It's not all the time I must admit, some day are better than others but antihistamines do nothing for it. I had a chest infection the other year and was given steroids (tablet form), a brown preventer inhaler and blue one. There is still the drags left in both and when I really struggle (mainly at night) I'll have a puff of the blue one which does the job.

I really should go to the doctors and get it sorted properly tbh.

a burlap sack and suitably heavy weight should sort out the cat allergy......well, technically the allergy still exists, it's just the cause will have been removed :p

Good idea batman - I wish a lot of people would chuck their kids in canal

You made the right choice. Daughter is probably better off in foster care.

Put the kid up for adoption. You could always have another, better kid, without this crippling disability.

Nope and my daughter puts him around her neck. But he is a psychopath I have seen him have dogs running he is nuts but the nicest cat you could meet. He rules about 10 roads if not more.

Slightly off-topic but for those who are cat allergic but love cats and want one, go visit a Bengal breeder as the hybrid genetics of them means they tend to not cause the same reactions as "normal" cats.

I've read that you can get a sort-of cure for allergies these days. Its a course of repeated injections of elements you're allergic to. I think there's something a little bit more to it than that, but I'm hazy on the details. Probably have to go private, though.
