Micro ATX suggestions and experiences

Recently I've found myself finding an excuse to rebuild my pc into a smaller case just becauss I don't use it up. Also my new desk and space it takes up too much, and maybe sitting on the desk would be ideal.

Currently I'm using a fractal r5 windowless, and I've always liked fractal design, sleek/minimal and not over the top. Sound dampened, good airflow etc.

Are there any micro ATX cases similar or better for a decent price?

In most cases (haha pun) you don't actually have a smaller footprint, when comparing ATX to matx.
Usually only the height is different as you lose 3 PCI slots (7 on ATX, 4 on matx).

If you want a "compact" build then should look at mitx. Though you have to give up all but 1 PCI slot.
Even that being said, some mitx cases can be pretty big.

If you want to downsize, then consider a jonsbo umx4.
It's an ATX case that's pretty small.

Are you sure? Because ATM in my current case, there's too much space they isn't used, and the case is long, to be shorter in width would be nice

I went with a micro build lawrence281 because I was fed up having these large metal boxes take up valuable space/look ugly and primitive imho ...

Check out the lazer 3d case....a bit pricey but a beautiful thing.

Define r5 is indeed a bigger midi ATX case. No doubt about that. There are smaller ATX cases available

Does seem pricey, I'm lookin for around 50-70 budget atm

I like the bitfenix micro ATX cases they do, found one for £60-70
