does anyone have one of these? Looking for opinions as I’m liking the look of them and want to know if they are a decent choice for a family of three or four adults. Things like day trips, shopping, hopping round locally. Fuel consumption is important too.

We have one, we've had it two years now and put just short of 30k miles on it. Only tires and brakes have been changed, nothing has gone wrong with it as you'd expect from a new car.

It costs around £70 fill up and I get around 530 miles out of with a 30 minute commute.

We have three kids and they fit in better than in our Insignia. It's just that little bit wider, boot is a good size, we drove to France in it and had a push chair and three suitcases in there.

It's a decent car with no remarkable features, it's not great on motorways being slow, the cruise control is faffy to the point I can't be bothered using it, I prefer the Insignia for longer miles.

Is that a diesel one you've got? I've got a petrol auto with the 1.6 T-GDI engine and only get around 380 miles from a full tank.

It's not a performance car, but I wouldn't call it slow on motorways. I suppose it depends on which engine you've got. I've never had an issue with the cruise control and find it much easier to use than my previous car.

Mine's only 6 months old but haven't had and problems so far and am happy with it overall.

Wife is looking at a petrol auto with premium trim for the "leather" sears and reverse camera.

Sat in a new one last week and it was decent inside. Its going to drive better than the juke she has right now and it's for her to go to work and ferry child about.

We are going yo test drive a quasqai next Sunday and then the tucson after.

We have sat in every non premium suv and the tucson is current favorite

It’s the Premium trim I’ve got, and it’s got a sufficient amount of toys. The only things that would have been nice to have would be active cruise control and the powered tailgate, but you’ve got to go up to the Premium SE for those and I’m not sure it’s worth it.

I’m looking at the 175bhp 1.6 T-GDi engine.

That’s the engine I’ve got. Fuel economy not the best but it does feel powerful enough and can move pretty quickly when you switch it to sports mode.

Also the tax is £540 for the first year with this engine.

I have a 3 year old ix35. Make sure you get your body servicing where they check paint condition. My car started to rust all around the windscreen and roof. Got told it isn't under warrenty when i took it to get sorted as i hadnt had any paint condition checks done even though i had full service history when the car was 1.5 years old, and fobbed me off it was stone chips anyway...

Wouldn't buy another hyundai for above reasons but maybe i just got a bad egg.

we looked at a Tiguan but it seemed more expensive for less kit, it also did not feel or look as nice inside.

We are looking at autos only really tho so it does bump the price a bit

True but it’s a significantly better driving experience - depends on what you want really I suppose and whether image is important to you also.

No denying the value you get from Korean manufacturers

Driving experience means nothing to the wife

Reverse camera, easy clean leather seats, bigger boot for pram. She happy.

Haha! Inevitably though you will have to drive it im sure - you should at least seek some enjoyment - take a hard look at the Skoda - it’s just a better car - read the reviews as people rave about them

i've drove a 1.6 auto juke for the last 3 years...

we have a rule, i have no real input on her car just a bit of usual guidance and she has no input on my next car :)

We looked at all these, and more over the last few months.

Placed an order for a brand new 3008 GT Premium. We thought it was head and shoulders above the rest.
Paid £25k for it in the end after a bit of haggling.
