Living next door to ******?

It is interesting how and why it's generally socially accepted to be prejudice as hell against ******/travellers/gypsies, but not any other race/group.

Gets on my nerves. I know a number of people who hate them as a rule. I don't think you can call it racist, but it's probably the same as criticising Jews for their "race." Both disgraceful.

Would I like to live next to some gypsies? Really depends what they're like.

Exactly. If you replaced the word ***** for the rude word for black people this thread would be considered totally differently.

I have lived near them before (a permanent camp). Caught one ripping my car stereo out in the middle of the day while I was watching F1 and I went down to see why my car alarm was going off before getting threatened to stay away or receive repercussions. Got his numberplate, told the Police where they could find the car/person but of course the case wasn't followed through with.

So no. I'd rather live next door to a nuclear waste site to be honest.

It is honestly completely dependent on what kind of ****** they are. A proper ***** is actually quite friendly and wont cause havoc where they live so living opposite is the safest to be :p

The village my mother lives in had a large group move in to a site just outside the village, at first everyone was worried but turns out they are very friendly and respectful. The kids once stole from the local cornershop and 4 of the dads came in with them dragging them by the ear and forced them to pay and say sorry. They stay out of the way of the locals and dont cause anyway hassle really so its pot luck really.
