The Division 2 - March 2019

i wouldnt say this is the case with the nemesis, its clearly better than any other sniper including the specialisation one
and it shouldnt be

saying that i dont think it should be nerfed, rather the spec one should be buffed.. that should be 1 headshot kill / 2 body .. because you need to be more accurate with that thing than the grenade launcher or xbow

also with the charge mechanic it has, it should be the most damaging..

im not a fan of the nemesis really, ive never liked weapons that need to charge up shots.. much prefer to pray and spray with my AR :D

I agree reference the buffing, but how is this even a problem in the first place, this sort of thing should be sorted out before game is launched, it feels like the game is a perpetual beta with all these balance issues and ongoing changes.

i suppose theres only so much they can do before having a large player base, to gather the data on what needs changing

cant think off the top of my head of an RPG/shooter game that has been balanced on release, especially multiplayer ones

I suppose it depends on what you consider balance.

To me balance is making it right for intended difficulty scale on single player. I expect in a game certian builds to be superior to others, if you try to make every build equal to each other in potency it just seems weird. Multiplayer I would just leave it be, as you will never ever make every player happy and all builds are available to every player anyway, it is a so what if people find common grounds on builds.

Was there a point in the first game where balance changes stopped?

Finally reached Level 30 in 66 hours, took the tourist route.

Did all of the control points, didn't touch the side missions or bounties.

I haven't done the Capitol Building yet, do I get the specialisation after that?

Generally stuck to an LMG/AR build - the 100 round mag was hard to go past.

I was constantly surprised by the random open world encounters - I'd wander down some side street and come across some really interesting situations, and find good loot!

Cheers,

Got my guy upto a 500gs sharpshooter setup with 3 pc Araldi 2 pc Overlord, M700 / MK17 although i really gimped myself early on. First i missed the capitol invaded mission so will take another few weeks for nemesis, also took me a while to figure out the recalibration system. So i had sold lots of gear which prob had traits i could copy across to my main slots. I seem to be coping fine with the hard/challenge dailies, finding grouping with randoms has got me through most of the game just fine.

However now starting to dip my toe into the darkzone and im constantly battling that loot cap, constantly running back and forth to an extract point just makes the DZ feel less appealing to me. Whats the trick with DZ loot, i know it can go higher gearscore than 500 but are you guys just picking up items at random or chasing specific pieces. Seems everything i life when extracted its <500 gearscore.

Still enjoying the game i have to say, may try out one of the other specialisations soon but dunno if i can be bothered levelling alts. In OCUK TWO btw if anyone is looking for some chill DZ exploration

Guys, I'm only at Level 15 and I'm having trouble with the Space Administration HQ main mission:-

What's the most effective way to beat this guy? I'm currently equipped with a shield and a turret. I almost managed to kill him last night but the other enemy grunts who arrive randomly in the area are drawing my attention away from him and proving difficult to deal with too. Any tips appreciated.

How do you get that and at what level is it available?

You get it from the quartermaster same as other skills, not sure how much it costs if you havent picked the hive yet, but if you have already picked one I think the cost is 5shd to unlock it, think its called the reviver mod iirc.

solo? use your turret to protect a flank at the start, keep on the move and keep one eye on your minimap mainly to see where the ads are coming from. Assault rifle and LMG should work well for that fight.

At the start of that fight you can 'hide' a bit from the boss's flame grenades by staying underneath the platform since the flames shouldn't reach you. That'll give you more time to see where the ads are which you should eliminate first. Then, kite the boss by keeping walls and corners between you. Instead of shooting directly at him, try aiming for his armour weak points which will cause more damage - his sides, his legs, his back. Don't forget to use your grenades on him. Also, chem launcher with reinforcer works well because it gives you an insta heal.

yeah, the ads are a pain in that fight so it helps to always be on the move, at least until th you've eliminated the ads.

I dont know what i'm doing wrong... i'm trying to follow the LMG 4 shot build for example, but i cant seem to find the right gear sets.

Currently doing 65k damage to reds and 95k to 120k to elites per shot

Is the most important thing getting the correct talents on the gun and ensuring the points are correct enough for the talents to work?

Constant farming for the right gear! Constantly checking you dont have too many/too little blue/red attributes!

Have you got a link to that build?

I run LMG :)

finally got the merciless last night, my first non crafted exotic

for those running an LMG, whats your play style against a suppressed enemy? i just find the suppression more annoying than anything and i think it slows things down too much

I either grenade them or switch targets.

Can you promote to lieutenant or something?
Is there anyway to tell if people are active, so can boot inactive people?

Yeah you can promote people so they can add new people, remove inactive people etc. In terms of checking when they last played, it has to be done outside of game unfortunately.
