Bring out your dead

Passing on the left. Totally legit and allowed.

I assume that's what the others are doing, rather than true undertaking which is bad and naughty. Using lane 1 to get ahead of someone in lane 2 by moving from lane 2 to lane 1 passing the slower car than you (whilst they may be doing 70+ and you're doing more) then moving back into lane 2 once passed....same as overtaking, just on the left.
Try explaining that to most people and they just look at you going "But left bad, you undertake, you criminal"

Indicating as I start to move when changing lanes on motorways.

Always parking in the furthest/most empty section of car parks despite driving a Romanian skip now.

I realised years back that to make progress with modern drivers inability to move left when done overtaking, one has to glide into the spaces and done right it seems to go unnoticed

I have a bad habit of driving too fast, usually getting egged on by someone in an A3 2.0 TDI trying to show me how fast they are.

I try to balance out the fact that I drive too quickly for the posted limits/most people and the fact that I'm impatient and intolerant by being very courteous and generally "helpful" in my driving.

I've done it to police cars before, such a rebel. :p

But yeah, people are idiots and if they want to think I'm undertaking when I'm using the lane they should be in, so be it. Generally it means I can maintain a better cruising speed, getting better economy etc. whilst also getting to my destination in a more reasonable time too.

Undertaking morons and glaring at them on the western bypass near Newcastle is probably my worst habit. It's gotten so much worse since they added a third lane that joins from a slip road. Nobody moves over to it. Cretins.

Mainly just speeding/going a bit too quick around twisty country lanes. Even when I took my test I passed first time with 2 minors, both for "excessive use of speed" :p

Occasionally if I'm running late and there's a box junction with a lane to go ahead and then left into a turn-off slip road, and one to go straight ahead, or a roundabout where the left lane is to go ahead and the right lane is for right turns, if there's a big queue in the left lane I will use the other lane and boot it off the line and merge across.

On my way home there's a road where cars are park on the right, there is space for two directions of traffic to pass as long as both sets are courteous and give each other room. However many people try to drive on my side side of the road and not let me though, I just drive right at them to give them a bit of a scare. It's funny to see their panicked reactions as they realise I'm not going to stop to let them through. :p

I'll happily pass on the left of someone on a dual carriageway if they're incessantly not moving over in order to continue progress, self-absorbed morons.

Also have a nasty habit of driving very sedately through 30 areas, and if someone decides to sit off my boot, I tick the speed down on cruise control 1mph at a time until they get the message. The lowest I've managed so far is Speedo reading 21 before he turned down a side road shouting and hollering :D

Something I like to do is wait until we get to the NSL coming out of a 30 and then floor it. If I'm doing 30 and someone is up my chuff, I'm quite happy that I'm impeding their speeding.

I use noise to let people know I’m there and they need to get out of my way because supercar. Most do, it’s the nice thing about special cars, poorers know I own the road and they are my bitches. As it should be. Occasionally I’ll burn some tenners and throw them out the window as I pass. It’s hard being rite all the time.

To be fair Super/Sports cars tend to be pretty intimidating bearing down on you in the rear view mirror.

Noble is hilarious how people jump out of the way. Ironically I picked up a mini cooper s recently as a cheap runabout and nobody moves out of the way for that :p

No.

Passing on the left when your lane is travelling faster than the lanes to your right is, and always was, fine. Provided you're not breaking the limit, weaving in and out and so on.

Ok so it’s the timing of it that makes it OK. TBH in the M25 and M4 that I use when I need to go to the office I’m always forever “undertaking” as you get some right plonkers in the 3rd lane doing an indicated 50 in the controlled average sections.
