The Division 2 - March 2019

Could someone please tell me in very simple terms how I increase my gear stats, currently on 312 and need 325 to progress but for the life of me I have no idea what to do even after googling the hell out of it?

I do so find this sort of thing extremely tedious, why games need all this crafting, re calibrating, etc etc is beyond me.

Basically just run missions/whatever and loot more gear. Could also make sure workbench is max level(for you) and craft pieces to get over the cap.

Its the genre of game, they do it so you have to constantly play, loot and upgrade, it masks the lack of actual content. :p

I have found that doing bounty missions increases gear level as I have crept up to 316, so only another 9 to go.

For me when getting to WT5 i would always equip gear with the highest gearscore regardless of whether its actually a downgrade or not. The drops in game scale based on your gearscore so the single best thing you can do is get that gearscore as high as possible. Once your into WT5 and sittin near 500 GS you can start being picky about having brand sets to suit your build. For crafting i cant say ive used it at all.

I found that I was struggling to get beyond 500, but then I started re calibrating stuff. Easy to get a piece of gear up to 512. Somewhere during the leveling up process, probably at wt3, I got fed up trying to find the best gear and just used whatever was highest and would get me through the strongholds. I felt that the middle part of this game, wt2-4 was a bit pointless. Although I have not totally sussed out the recalibration process, i.e. what can be swapped which what type of item, I have now started to stock pile high roll stats on armour.

I am now 331 and I have no idea how I got there, off to do the stronghold and move to tier 3.

Don't always feel the need to use the highest level items as most is junk. I sometimes have a look at 503+ players gear and the stats and combinations are often rubbish.

At what point do you migrate from level 30 to getting gear score stuff?

I think I've finished the story mode and have just got the Capitol Building stronghold to do! (Plus a few side missions!)

Straight after the last stronghold. Wt1-4 is quite quick.

I suppose it depends if you just rush the basics, I have been on WT1 for 7 hours, and have just done my first invaded mission. Granted that time has largely been me wondering around figuring stuff out trying to find better gear etc. I think I have spend over 3 hours alone just sorting inventory out due to the really low inventory limits.

I plan to do all invaded missions, then the strongholds, and the new side quest. I assume all invaded missions respawn on WT2 so on that it will repeat again, plus it will all be done solo, so for me its probably 5-10 hours on each WT stage.

Should I keep checking or will someone give me a shout when there's a space?

Currently in a clan but it's absolutely dead right now and I still want to do raids and dark zone stuff.

Well, even with 50 members we don't really do stuff, it's just not needed at the moment.

Ahhh brilliant

So I decided to deconstruct my old GS 290 chatterbox to get some exotic materials, then use those to upgrade my Liberty to GS 500. With plans to farm another Chatterbox later.

The game crashed as I was crafting the Liberty, I logged back in quickly and found that I have no Liberty in my inventory plus the materials have still been used.

So I'm down both of my exotics now!

Managed to finish the last stronghold so I've now been introduced to the new factions and missions etc - chose sniper as my specialisation but it would appear the ammo is limited??

I know I should really listen to/read the info but how do you get ammo back?

You get it as drops from mobs you kill.
