20 million PC gamers could defect from PCs to consoles by 2022

Ha yep, saving up for ages and then seeing it all go was quite painful but guess we are all suckers for new tech / toys.

It was a bundle price (2 games and an extra controller I think) but as you say a new console without any games is pretty useless.

Haha it was honestly pointless. Got home, set it up on the TV downstairs as that was the only TV in the house which was a HD screen, joined it up to my network and signed into my PSN i had created a few weeks prior and then... that was it! The Gran Turismo demo thing hadn't even been put up on to the store at that stag. My mum saw me just looking through the menus and when i told her she laughed at took me to woolworths.

God I loved the PS3's early days. I hammered that GT demo trying to lower my time before I got Motorstorm and Rainbow 6 vegas.

Ha! I forgot about that game, it was pretty good actually. The final end boss fight was awesome.

It wasn't a bad game to be fair. It certainly wasn't the Halo killer they wanted it to be but I enjoyed it! Some very fun weapons in that game.

There was a video about the PS3 and the power of the cell which used to get my hyped. It used to show one of the grenades in Resistance blowing up. I thought it was game changing lol

I recently bought an Xbox One X for £215, boxed with one controller. My PC is an old, overclocked hex-core Xeon with a GTX 680 and 16gb RAM. The Xbox One X clearly beats the living daylights in terms of gaming ability, and whilst I could have bought a used GTX 1070 and got some more out of it, I've lost interest now.

Console gaming is much more convenient for me these days, so I've jumped ship. CBA to build or maintain a decent PC anymore.

Good times, but I still preferred the early days of PS2. I bought the GT3 pack when I was 21. It was simply stunning, even at the old SD res, whatever they used for it.

I was never really a fan of the PS2. I had one, begrudgingly.... but i had a far bigger fondness for the Sega Dreamcast and the original xbox 1 (i never did like the duke controller however).

The PS1 however, that was my 1st ever games console that i owned from new - aside from a short ill fated dabble with a CD32! - (I was always a computer man before then, speccy, various Amigas and a PC) and that was amazing. blew gaming PCs of many times the price out of the water when it was 1st launched. How i laughed at my mate trying to run wipeout on his PC.

as ever the PC soon caught up and overtook however.

Yeah I didn't care much for the PS2 and I have much more fond memories of my Gamecube and Dreamcast (Sonic Adventure and Chu Chu Rocket took many years of my time!) but the PS2 was essential whilst I was in secondary school.

I have fond memories of my cousins Xbox. It was one of the 'Crystal' see-through ones. It was chipped and he had a massive selection of games that i'd just burn through (Outlaw Golf being one of my favourite games, bizarrely). I hated the original controller but the Xbox S Pad was much nicer. The placement of the Black and White buttons were much better too.

Plan on hooking the pc up to a nice big TV later in the year and buying a wireless keyboard and controller. Guess it'll be like a console except I'll be getting the keyboard and mouse out for RTS games.
Love gaming in general, they all have their place but it all meets the same needs, entertainment.

Worst controller in the history of gaming was the Atari Jaguar brick pad. God that was awful. Crappiest console I’ve ever owned full stop.

Always loved the N64 pad.

Until 2 years ago I was PC only and owned/played every CoD and Battlefield. Never even tried a shooter with a controller. I now have BF and last 3 CoDs on PS4 for one reason alone, I was sick of cheaters in CoD on PC. You just don't see them in CoD on PS4...
