Build now or wait, £1800 gaming build?

Hi,

I will be looking to replace a 2013 build soon (within the next 3 months, unless some amazing tech is around the corner) as I've started noticing performance issues in multiple games.

I have been reading about the release of AMDs Ryzen 3000 CPU to be released in the coming months and the Navi GPU after that. Would it be worth waiting for either of these to release or do you think the price/performance ratio will stay around what I could currently build for my money?

My budget is around £1800 for the tower and a 27" 144Hz 1440p monitor, this is slightly flexible and I would like to make it as future proof as possible.

I play Overwatch mainly but I also want to have the performance to run more demanding games. I don't tweak with my computer much, I built the last one and haven't really touched it since, only done some very basic overclocking, so simple components that I can plug and play without worrying too much are what I would prefer.

So should I wait a couple of months or build now?

For those interested, my old build:

I'd say stick with what you have, overclock that CPU just a little, and get a 1080/1080ti/2080 card, this should cover you for most gaming. I have a similar setup using a 6600K and it deals with most stuff just fine, even @ 4k (some settings backed off from max)

Thanks for that Plec, I'll definitely keep my current build going a little longer then and see what the deal is when the new AMD CPUs are out.
