if you want to keep costs down, you can use a B450 board with Ryzen 3000 chips . @GIGA-Man has stated for Gigabyte that they can collect new boards that might not have latest bios and flash them . I believe there was a little more time before ryzen 2000 was announced from ryzen 1000 so vendors/sellers had more time to clear old stock of have bios's updated (meant sending off old stock for new stock) though some slipped through the net and Gigabyte I believe ended up flashing quite a bit, think they actaully sent in a team to OCUK to flash B350/X37- boards with ryzen 2*** bundle deals.
Resellers like OCUK also could flash BIOS of boards for an extra charge, they and others did do this but not during new product launch period. this was their busiest time period bar black friday/xmas and didnt have the staff to cover it , was about £20 odd . So if you like MSI or others, this is an option
