People generally either sell it to recoup costs or keep it as a backup. Pretty self-explanatory I would have thought.

LOL I know it's one of two! More just inquisitive as to what people did, for those that kept the camera e.g. do they go back to it?

I sold my D750 and never looked back, other than missing a couple of the lenses.

Just need to find a fast 20mm that I’m happy with and then I’m done.

SSince it was a totally complete different system (olympus) and I had quite a few lenses I sold the lots for £5,400 to fund the Sony A7iii and a few lenses to start me off. I couldn't have afforded to have kept both.

If it had been an earlier sony e mount body I may have kept it as a backup though.

Im having a huge dilema at the moment, Do I keep my Canon lenses or just sell the lot in favour of moving to Sony, or do I just hope Canon can release a good Mirrorless with IBS sooner rather than later.

sell the lot in favour of the sony ones but you can do it lens by lens.

Anyone have the Samyang 50 f1.4 AF? I want something for nighttime street shots, the 55 is starting to be a bit expensive for how often i would use it.

The 200-600G will be posing the bigger problem for me in relation to my existing 100-400GM. The purchase of the 600 F4 or 400 F2.8 is in the same league as what Ferrari should I buy next.

Waiting for the reviews on the 200-600. The fact that the TC works with it makes me want it even though I have the 100-400. If there isnt a noticeable drop in sharpness I think I will have to get it just for the extra reach.

Unless I had a VERY specific reason I would rather carry around a 100-400 + 1.4xTC than a 100-400 AND a 200-600 in my bag. Especially with my Sony a7R3 where the sensor gives you extra reach through the additional MP cropping ability.

I'd be swapping the 100-400 for the 200-600, couldn't see the point of having both since it's the reach I'm interested in. I'd have to weigh up whether a gain of 2/3 of a stop and 40mm (with the 1.4 TC on the 100-400 @ F8 ) is worth it for changing a GM lens for a G and losing the portability of the 100-400.

Is the F-stop between the 2 lens the same in their respective focal length?

I'd almost always be using both at full stretch so the 100-400 would be at 560mm and F8 with the TC. The 200-600 I imagine would be F6.3.

I wouldn't bother with that, be quite happy with 600mm @6.3.
The IQ of the 200-600 versus the 100-400GM would be a major concern.

Looking at this photo of all lenses and sizes...

I really would also prefer to buy a 400mm f2.8 than the 600mm f4, especially with a high resolution sensor. The sizes of the 200-600 and the 600mm are pretty damn prohibitive, massive even, and with the additional cropping power of 40+MP I think the 400mm's would be fine for the majority of applications as far as amateurs are concerned.
