Bored of the rain now

I didn't realise people had been studying the sun and logging temperatures long enough to establish 1000 year cycles.

I dunno about the level of observation but certainly people studying the sun 1000+ years ago i.e. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aristarchus_of_Samos

EDIT: Lots of ways of getting some kind of record of historical data as well such as ice cores, etc.

I wont lie, I'm a bit confused. What was edited? Not sure if you're then trying to take the micky? Is it 'boasting' to say I went for an early ride? I should have not said why I was out at 5am? Other mention what rain stops them doing... I mentioned what I was bale to... I don't get it, sorry

Love the rain, hoping we get these big storms they are talking about, I find thunder and lightning when I’m in bed ever so relaxing.

Being a farmer I can tell you this sucks! Spent all spring panicking because the grass wasn’t growing. Now we have grass and all we can do with it is watch it get old and fall over.
Literally nothing to do, fixed everything I can find in the yard!

Activities keep getting cancelled because of the rain. I don't see the issue, it's not like it's cold. You'll hardly be able to go outside if you don't learn to like rain the UK :/
