Huh, we're right at the bottom of the eleven year cycle now. Where does 35 years come into play?

You can see my natural skin colour. I'm pure white under that tan!

I'm not a fan of the rain, but I'm glad it's only been 10C-16C this June. June 2018 and June 2017 were 8-week-long heat waves of 30+ C and that got old pretty quickly. At least if it's 10C and you're too cold then you can just put on a coat. If it's 30C and you're down to 1 layer (or in office clothes), then you're stuffed.

It's been a miserable June, I wasn't planning on going away until August but I'm going to have to squeeze in another trip in July if it stays like this.

It's been on the front page of the Beeb for the last few days

The projection is for the next solar cycle to be the quietest for a very long time.

EDIT: Though seems some differing opinions on that.

Opinions do vary as to what cycle 25 will bring but we're not out of 24 yet! I still don't get where the 35 year comment come from though.

Pretty sunny here is Spain for the last 2 weeks. Not as hot as it was this time last year though.

It was very dry down here before all this rain, we certainly needed it.

Much prefer it at the moment, can actually sleep at night. Last year was horrific, drowning in my own sweat day and night. Everything is so green outside too - it was all mostly dead this time last year.

Sleep like a Baby? So you wear a nappy and pee and poop with abandon?

Looks and feels more like late October/November out this morning. Thick wet damp mist here.

I didn't realise people had been studying the sun and logging temperatures long enough to establish 1000 year cycles.
