It's too hot :(

Thunder was incredible late last night here in Farnham, I went shopping at like 1am and got the full force of it, incredible :)
 
Very thundery here last night and at least one absolute downpour woke me up but looking at the patio this morning its practically dry already. Shaping up to be another hot one today which my girls are loving at they're both off school now.

The only thing I really hate about hot weather is when it comes on drastically, it gives me a horrible niggling pressure headache for a couple of days.
 
******* hot weather, out all night and now most of the day with over temperature alarms.

Plus the new boiler suits, while fantastic in the winter are like a mobile sauna. Roll on autumn
 
I'm not one to complain about the heat normally as we don't get enough of it. But today is annoying as I have to lug 30 computers up some stairs. That'll be fun :o

Decided to order a fan for my flat, few days of the year where it might actually be useful.

Makes me think of a lads holiday years ago in the Canary Islands - one guy kept wanting to turn the fans on just before we'd go out for the evening so the apartment would be cooler.... we had to explain to him that a fan isn't aircon and they generate heat - technically the air in the room would be hotter if you leave them on, better to turn them off when we're out and just turn them on when we get in. He didn't quite get it.
 
It’s just an expensive fan? In terms of air flow the one I’ve ordered has different settings and is probably just as powerful if not more so than that one.

I reckon if I were to go for an expensive one then I’d probs get a dyson air purifier thing.

i have a Dyson Pure Purifier

has a HEPA Filter, dosen't keep you any cooler, but its goof for filtering out pollutants

It's a fan that actually brings the temperature of the room down by approx 8°C

I have Dyson hot/cold purifier for the bedroom, but i'd say the cooling ability isn't amazing. I use it more to keep the pollen/pollution at bay (we live quite near a main road that gets a lot of slow moving traffic)
