Something super is coming...

AMD have priced like Nvidia, as they don't want you to buy their LAVI, they want you where they are, the consoles, thats the market they are in, and the rent-a-gaming one.

Don't be silly. Sure they want you to buy navi wouldn't be under cutting nvidia if they didn't care might as well charge £500 they don't care lol

The fact is Amd as created an ecosystem that nvidia can not touch. They are the biggest selling GPU/CPU company around. All amd need to do is produce GPUs that are powerful

And that is that. Navi 5700XT is more than enough for 1440p gaming that it's designed for.

Define "slightly". Because 30% over the 2070S and 50% over the 2080S isn't "slightly" at 2560x1440, and with the 5700XT running at 1800mhz.... Not 2000-2200 range is capable.

Where are the RX 570/RX 580/ RX 590?

Wow that is disappointing. Looks Like my 980Ti will have to solider on for bit longer as i was hoping for something that would sit closer to half way between the 2080 and the 2080Ti. Not the paltry 5%

The people who still think they're in this market, are the silly ones :p

When oh when will it be worth upgrading my 1080ti, this card is going to be knocking on 3 years ish by time it's actually worth upgrading.

Well, if RT takes off, and I suspect it will, when cards can start to run it at respectable speeds, and for me, that doesn't mean 60fps @ 1080P.

Worth seeing what 2020 will bring.

60fps is so pre-launch expectations :). Already way higher than that other than in that very challenging game - Quake 2 :D.
It's funny how many are now excited about the Supers. Personally, at this stage, I'm more excited about next gen now - it'll be so much more improved when it comes to RT I think. Performance is better from the Super range, they're cheaper, but we're now heading towards the 20 series being 10 months old. Still an upgrade to those with older cards though I suppose but if people can, wait it out until next year.

You would say that though.
Amd is just matching what Nvidia already started you not fooling anyone.

Nvidia started all this stupid pricing with the Titan line up.

The £800 pound GPU and last released I think was R295 X the Fury double card.

Amd even under cut nvidia with the new navi line up.

So all in all nvidia is the root of the problem here.
You would say that though. AMD are just as bad as NVidia for this pricing crap is a fact. You decide that AMD are fine with it though, as NVidia started it. Pathetic reasoning

Especially, when AMD's graphics cards market share is now below 20%, it is extremely weird from their side to not keep the Navi 10 prices around the 250$ mark, rather than around 400-450$.
Also, that low-quality blower cooler must tell the users not to buy it, at all.

The low pricing will put pressure on nvidia and will decrease their profit margins, which would be a win-win for AMD. Which don't have the sales, anyways.

I don't know what happens with AMD these days. It's like they are screaming at the customers Don't buy, Run!

I don't think any of us are fine with it mate, but the fact remains that Nvidia are responsible for the prices we see today. They tested the waters, found that people would still buy no matter how much they gouged, and then it became the new norm.

I honestly can't blame AMD for raising their own prices in this situation, and I would do exactly the same thing in their place, that's how business works I'm sorry to say. Being 50% cheaper than the competition may win you lots of goodwill, but it's not necessarily sensible for your company's long term future.

Now, as a consumer I absolutely hate the new norm, but the only way to change it is to stop buying graphics cards. I know no one else will, we've seen that clearly enough with Nvidia's RTX series, so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. At that point I then need to find the cheapest option, even if it's still overpriced, and at the moment that's AMD. It's that or ditch PC gaming entirely, which I'm not prepared to do.
