It's too hot :(

The last lightning storm (Tuesday?) made the front page of the local newspaper here for blowing somebody's roof tiles off and setting fire to their house. There was an almighty thunderclap which woke me up.

Had that happen when I was at my nan's years ago. Flash, instant bang and the house shook. Que the screams, house and car alarms going off.

Thunder is great until one strikes by you.

Bedroom barely bearable with window open and fan on max, heat now not likely to prevent sleep, but whirring blades instead.

My CH controller is showing 76f currently.

To put it in persective I normally don't set it higher than 65f, ever..

absolutly insane day for most of us in the uk.....fast forward to tomorrow.....can any one recommend a water proof jacket :)

Hey we are british, it's what we do best.....moan=weather :)

Today was a struggle. Ended up napping in the afternoon, something I never do. Had to make two trips out today, so have walked around 11 miles.

Heard the occasional distant rumble here in Somerset but nothing on the map closer than 20-30 miles - shame it seems to all be off the east coast as the energy setup is quite something.

Looking further south, looks like a few building up around the Bay Of Biscay, I wonder if they'll make it up to us?

32 degrees in the bedroom still at the moment.

Last night I woke up at 2am to a 4 inch house spider crawling along my legs, don't mind them too much but I'd only just got to the point where I was drifting off and I could ignore the heat.

I hate summer :D
