Is there any difference between the older,

DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB (2X16GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHZ DUAL CHANNEL KIT

i cant really see any difference timings are the same unless anyone else knows of any differences

Thx, I don't care about RGB if there the same I will get original as cheaper

The original also has a better build quality, the new RGB tops are plastic not metal etc...

Though personally I can highly recommend the Team Group Dark Pro 8Pack memory, much better quality in build and memory ICs, plus better performance

Sorry for hijacking the thread.
I own a set of the original Dominator 16GB if I was to buy the same set would that be ok to pair with my older set? I know about timings etc Cas16 XMP 2.0 that is all matching even the part number is matching.

im not sure it looks like it should be ok if there the same speed and timings maybe contact corsair to confirm

From what i've read as long as there the same as the pair you already have (timings etc) because they are only dual channel and you keep the pairs together they will be ok
