It's too hot :(

This is the best summer for almost a decade for me, in the past 5-6 years 4 of them have had long spells of heat waves. In the past decade we have also had extremely short winters. So fans of heat have had it good in the south east and east midlands/anglia.

Warming up to 28-30°C during the week and then staying there for most of August.

Really hoping they get that prediction wrong (hard to predict past a week).

But in case I am going to order a bunch of new towels to soak up my sweat. I have to sleep on them to protect my mattress and have one on my chair as well.

Nah no sign of a August heatwave from the latest charts.

What an absolute grim weekend. I've left the house for a total of 15 minutes to get milk and bread. Cold, wet, windy. Classic summer. :(

I'm not a fan of extreme temperatures. But if I had to choose between this and earlier in the week? It wouldn't be a hard decision. :p

You're in the wrong part of the world mate. Bit of rain friday night early saturday dry after that but warm lovely day today not a cloud in the sky been out all day :D

Apart from a brief window of an hour on Saturday evening it's been non stop rain for 48 hours here. :( Cold as well. Maxed out at 13c today.

How much did that cost to install and whats your electricity bill saying?
Paid £3k and electric bills seem to have gone up by around £20pm. We sleep with it on at around 20c and have it on most of the day downstairs.
It’s been a god send and the best 3k I’ve ever spent.

We are still using the main winter duvet - it’s just fantastic.

.

This is definitely the way to do it. What are the noise levels like? Portable unit gets the job done for the bedroom at least but its noisy AF
We had a portable unit in our old flat and the noise was terrible. You couldn’t have a conversation or hear the TV.

With the fitted unit, it’s slight if immediately cooling. Once it reaches the set temp, then you simply do not hear it. It will maintain the temp and turn on/off sporadicly.

We are extremely pleased with it. During recent weather the bedroom windows developed mist where it was so warm outside.
Would highly recommend it and in the winter it acts as a heater so win win.

So you pay to cool your bedroom down so much so you need a winter duvet.
More money than sense.
Why not put a thin sheet on and save some money.

Yes, we do pretty well.

It’s not a winter duvet per say. It’s a 25lbs weighted blanket designed to help you sleep and is just has heavy as a winter duvet.

Feels fab to snuggle under it with the air con on in the recent heat.

Yeah it is a bit mixed here with a bit of a breeze but also a hint of hazy closeness. Sun is out but it is also partially cloudy, temperatures are pleasant but hovering close to being uncomfortable.
