I can't get it up, and it's very floppy

Found an old floppy disk but the sliding thing won't move, it's very bendy too, doesn't feel very ridged. Is there any way to restore it? Thanks

It's just a spring usually. Fix the spring

Get it fixed before putting it in the slot, pulling out under those conditions might prove difficult.

I've been thinking a lot about slots, I think I will ask my friend if I can put it in his slot, I'm sure it doesn't get much use so he should let me.

I'm still worried it's not hard enough to go in his slot though.
