How many people have been waiting for my usual celebratory thread?

I'm so pleased that we'll be back to GMT (UTC, Z, etc) this weekend.

We invented time, we invented Greenwich, we invented longitude and we invented clocks*

We'll be back to proper time again... BST, go play with yourself!

*some of this may not be entirely factual

I don't get annoyed by much on the internet, but @Feek 's cheery welcoming of very early nightfall pushes my buttons every year

I cannot comprehend why anyone would celebrate switching to GMT.

Because my dashboard looks cool with the backlights on, and because many people who otherwise clog up the roads instead choose to go home early "Coz it's all dark, innit"....

I only realised this year that it's 5 months of GMT, then 7 months of BST.

This blew my mind as I'd always thought it was 6 months of each.

This is not particularly welcome news, the wife suffers from SAD.

Plus I can't let the dog off, over the park, after work anymore.
