2 NVMe SSD's

I have a B450 MSI Gaming Pro Carbon and already have 1 NVMe SSD installed and looking to add another, will it impact my system performance having 2 installed?

Check the manual. I'm sure there is a reference to loosing x8 on one of the pcie lanes.

This would indicate that you'd loose all other pcie slots while using the 2nd slot

PCI_E2, PCI_E3, PCI_E4 and PCI_E5 slots will be unavailable when installing M.2 PCIe SSD in M2_2 slot.

Not looking at populating the remaining slots, only both M.2. I'm looking at installing a Sabrent 512GB Rocket NVMe SSD.

Should be fine then mate. The main pcie slot will remain at x16

I'm not 100% sure but it's doubtful. Don't see the point in the manufacturer doing that.

I understand that the primary is v3.0 and secondary is v2.0 from what I'm reading, would I still get great performance from my choice of SSD on that slot? I'm aware it might not achieve it's rated performance but shouldn't it be faster than a regular 2.5" SSD SATA drive?

I would be surprised if you even noticed a difference between them to be honest. They will both run at x4.
