I am upgrading my PC and have gone for the i5 9600KF and I am looking for memory to go with it. I notice on the processor specs it lists DD4 2666MHz ram but I can find some DDR4 3200MHz for the same price as the 2600MHz. Am I better going for the 2666MHz or the 3200MHz, will the 3200MHz ram work with the i5 9600KF?

Yeah that's fine, 2666MHz is just the industry standard rating, so the 3200MHz is officially overclocking but Intel CPUs normally play nice with faster RAM :)

Thanks, I will order the faster stuff then :) Can I go faster than 3200MHz or is the extra cost not worth it?

Thanks for the advice, I decided on the 3200 in the end.

That's good to know I went for the 3200 :)

Don't forget to try overclocking it, I would be very surprised if it didn't reach at least 3600Mhz, you might need to increase voltage to 1.4vlts (perfectly safe).

My Vengeance Pro kit is actually a 3000Mhz set but runs perfectly stable at 3466Mhz (1.4vlts)

Did you notice any gains in FPS while gaming with the increase in mhz?

That will be totally dependent on the game.
I would not bother overclocking the ram as I found it required a lot of patience and fiddling, but it was back on AMD64 that I last tried (Jesus that was DDR1 400mhz!).
I think 3200 was a wise choice over 2666 given the minor price difference.
Definitely overclock the CPU though!
