Eye sleeping bags or w/e they are called

*cringe*

I suggest you read Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker. Drug-induced sleep is not all that great for you. "Skipping" sleep is not either.

To answer the question I have used Bulldog Eye roll-on but in all honesty I don't think it helps. You leave it in the fridge, so it's quite nice to refresh your eyes in the morning. But I haven't noticed much in the bags under my eyes. Then again I do struggle with my sleep..

I rarely use sleeping pills, and even then, it's the all natural stuff. The only time I ever really use them is on long flights.

I didn't need any last night, I was sat playing games, walked the dog, got back in and suddenly felt SUPER tired.

Dudeee, bath bombs are the... Well, bomb! I buy the wife some here and there, she never uses them so I might as well! Big Blue's are my faves, so relaxing.
its a running meme that I enjoy a bath bomb. forever getting tagged on FB whenever some company posts about a bath bomb!

Nothing wrong with a bit of male pampering!

Weird one, but recently I've been incredibly busy and barely getting any sleep, often skipping it entirely. Things are about to calm down but a colleague of mine stated how exhausted I looked and mentioned the bags under my eyes.

Normally, I don't care for how I look, but they have a point, I look like I've just come back from a weekend binge at Vegas. Sadly, that's not the cause.

Anyone use any product to help reduce the bags? Are face masks good? I'm big bearded guy so not sure what use a mask will be.

Im short, I'm gonna treat my self.
I can't remember who it was but someone in the Sports Arena forum once said that the order of priorities when getting/maintaining fitness is:

1. Sleep.
2. Diet.
3. Working out.

Barely getting any sleep or skipping it entirely would seem to be an awful idea and rather than looking at coverup solutions (facemask etc), probably start with the root cause.

Just to be clear, I normally get a good solid 6-8 hours of sleep during the week and if it's my turn to have a lie in on the weekends, even longer.

It was just this weekend gone, I had 5 or so days with terrible sleep and one night of zero sleep due to a sick dog. This thread had a little tongue in cheek intention behind it.

But your post brings up a great point, people underestimate how key diet and sleep are. Very well said.

Stress also can mess you up and make you gain weight due to your body making and releasing higher levels of cortisol (the Stress Hormone), obv if you are stressed your sleep will be out of wack also, these two factors without even changing your diet that you were "normal" on can make you gain weight.

Well, part of my job for Lizzy is watching you lot over here....but I've said too much.

Anyway, my bags are slowly creeping up as I am busy and a little erratic with sleep, but I think mainly my general introverted tendency to stay in and take care of myself keeps my bags at bay.

Here's the link to the recently released commonwealth govt (Inquiry into Sleep) report in support of the fact that as little as 5 days interrupted sleep can make even healthy 20yo's (males) prediabetic and drop their testosterone big time - a decade-worth (eg. see page 18 on the single-pdf file download)

e. I was genuinely surprised to find out (in that report) that as little as 30 minutes too much sleep can significantly lower a childs IQ.

What on earth are you thinking about. The solution isn't cosmetic masking of your symptoms; you need to improve your sleep pattern.

What is causing your lack of sleep? It may be personal and naturally you won't want to share the reasons here, but at least share them with yourself.

Is this the book that also explains how the single spell of 8ish hours sleep is a modern thing and it is actually normal for us to wake up sometimes and we used to have 2 sleeps back in the day?

No, I don't think so. I might be wrong as I read it a while ago. There was a lot of interesting science in it though including animals that sleep with one side of their brain 'awake' so that they don't fall off a tree etc. It's mainly very good for making people realise how sleep important is. Not ideal for someone like me who is struggling with it though!
