How young are we talking? Because its been shown that babies 6 months to 9 months show racial bias, associating happy music to folk their own race and sad music to folk of another race to them (that was part of one of the tests). What is interesting though, is that, this only applies to babies who have little interaction with races other than thier own. The ones that do have interactions with different races did not show the same bias.

Thank christ we have a legal system where you are innocent until "proven" guilty, because judging by some of the comments on here this guy should have been hung, drawn and quartered without trial based on a 2 sec video clip which has no 100% conclusive bang to rights undeniable to everyone racist actions in it.

I still stand by my original statement, he'll be found innocent by the legal system after having his life ruined by media led mob justice.

I couldn't care less if the guy was dancing around in a gorilla suit but then I couldn't care less for football either but I have been to a few Rangers vs Celtic game in 80-90's and its 90mins of bigotry and abuse towards each other and then its forgotten about as they (some not all) drink together in the pubs.

Calm down Grandma, no one is calling for him to be hung. The most shocking thing in this thread is those clinging to the fact that legally he'd get off on a technicality and thus he's not doing anything racist according to them. This stance is simply silly, it's plainly obvious what he was doing and theres no need for people to excuse it.

Maybe a long time back grandad, but the majority of football fans are your every day folk and most young fans who also play distance themselves from drink. The times where this can be excused is long gone.

It isn't legally getting off on a technicality, the whole point is that we don't know for sure that he was being racist.

That's not what I said. The bigotry and abuse during the game doesn't happen much outside of the old scum who still hang about.

I can follow the thread thanks, lots of people claim not to be able to identify what is right there in front of their faces for differing reasons:
- superiority of legal knowledge
- devils advocate
- deflection from personal belief
- just plain idiocy

I'm not being disingenuous at all, and thankfully I have the capacity to identify such an idiot and don't feel the need to deny his actions based on some improbable probabilities for whatever reasons you and others in this thread do.

Just went to vote, its cold and frosty... just before entering the building I caught myself doing a little brrrr its cold dance, shook my arms a little at the sides and breathed in and out a few times.... As already mentioned in this very thread... based on that evidence above I cannot be sure what he is doing, it could be yes. It's not blatant monkey gesturing in my book and his head is not angled towards the player... maybe his eyes are but I cant see that. It looks more like he is looking at the steward... but the steward doesn't seem very fussed about it in the other clip.
