Why are GPUs so expensive?

I'm using AKG Q701's and Sennheiser HD700's so please explain what the above means?

"Presentation
The HD681 EVO output what the music gives it to work with. The soundstage is neither expansive nor cramped. The sound is presented as if it’s coming from a mid-sized indoor concert with speakers surrounding me, intimate but never congested. The impressive thing about the soundstage is the accuracy in which the music is delivered and the sense of space the instruments have. The sound is all around my head, very 3d like in how it’s being presented to me."

"The Superlux HD-681 Evo is a budget-priced pair of headphones intended for professional use"

"The best-selling model HD681 is a high quality headset with rich bass, crystal clear high resolution and accurate sound field positioning. Now the new HD681 EVO upgraded version has a completely new, more slender shape and an improved smoother, more neutral, treble tone. The HD681 EVO easily meets the requirements of stage and studio professionals for a high-quality sound in monitoring headphones."

What I meant is that AMD gives very good image quality but not quite ideal, while nvidia's is more leaning towards pathetic image quality.

Yeah but AKG Q701's are the best ever competitive gaming headphones ever made and crap all over peasant headphones you linked to above.

So what do I win for having much better sound quality than you?

he is talking about $30 headphones as if they are reference quality.

There must be an extremely strong language barrier, though. I said that AMD and nvidia image quality is about the same as the quality coming from these headsets, it's bad.

To clarify, can you explain how on Earth to calibrate these settings and what does it mean to manually set a given colour temperature?

he is talking about $30 headphones as if they are reference quality. they are for peasants. i think it's him there is something wrong with. as this is a gpu thread yet he's mentioning some crap headphone as an argument.

I don't think poor people like it when you call them "peasants" though, just some helpful advice.

Problem is the 2080ti is way over priced for what it is and people still bought it so now the flood gates are open for the next round of cards.

RTX 2080 Ti is not overpriced, it is simply a monstrously large chip, difficult to be produced at all, probably with low yields, fulfilling an incredibly tiny niche of a niche. It is bought maybe by 5 people globally, and has no influence on nvidia's financials, at all.
