Guys - don't expect this till Q3/Q4 2019

This is referencing the 38GL950G and it launched Oct to Dec depending on where you're at in the world. So he was right about that.

I believe HDR400 is correct for the 38GL950G, the 2020 version might have HDR600
there will be a Freesync/G-sync Compatible model coming as well, but this we wont see till 2020

The 38GN950, which at this point is pretty safe to assume is the "2020" version and maybe even the Freesync version, has HDR600. So he was right about that too. Maybe we should just ask Daniel-LG?

He's known about it in some capacity for at least 13+ months/before this thread started. He's mentioned it as far back as lDecember 2018.

Don't forget the "G" G-Sync chip version has variable overdrive control versus the "N" Freesync version won't. The "G" version will have slightly better motion clarity throughout the VRR range.

FFS they said it didn't!! Why can't they fit bloody heatsinks on these things for this price range?

I'm just going to end up getting an OLED at this rate and chucking it after burn in.

I really hope more people go the 48" OLED route, as it's only going to give monitor manufacturers a kick up the backside and might make them realise they can't keep taking advantage as they have been for years... the state of the monitor market in 2020 is really quite shameful.

I think sadly it won’t affect much. LG oled 48’’ tvs due to the volume sold will be able to outstrip any high end monitor made.

niche products are always a difficult sell.
