What fad from your childhood/teenage years used to be "in" but now has vanished?

We called that 'penny up the wall'. It also got banned right away. We still all played, but people woul surround the game so that teachers couldn't see - but most likely brining much attention to the area.

Our school was a Protestant school spread over two campuses, to get to either campus we'd have to go through a Catholic area. It wasn't uncommon for our bus to be pelted with stones. One year one of the classes were going to the other campus for football practice and someone lobbed a house brick at the bus, came through the window and hit a guy in the face and he lost an eye. Right in the centre of town was the split for "the Prod end" and "the Catholic end". One year while waiting at the bus stops right in the middle of town, a hood from the catholic end came running out of an alley and lobbed half a house brick over the rows of buses and it cracked a first year girls head wide open and laid her right out... lucky he didn't kill her. This all went on from the mid to late 90s when the "Drumcree protests" were going on. The town is still a **** hole for Dissident Republican activity.

I had the main grey one plus the red venom. Think my parents might still have them in the attic. I looked into Ebay prices a couple of years ago - they've not appreciated a whole lot!
 
Was there something like Manta Force but the solders would be in fixed positions. I thought they were bluebird too. There was like a hearse with a cannon or something.
 
Also had this motorised plastic robot that had a manta force like figure in the chest. Mine was like a big viking, think they were called zed knights or something.
