The DEMS stretched this out as long as they could, even with the 33 delay in giving the articles of impeachment to the Senate, any longer and it would have all been thrown out.

Yes, this 100% this. There have already been talk shows where DEM voters calling in saying it has turned the REP - whole families!

I hadn't noticed really but I normally don't comment on cheap shots unless they are idiotic, like this one.

I have something, a browser addon perhaps, that sometimes means I don't see the media tab stuff, but if I quote I can see the text - don't know why..

The hat was the only thing I liked tbh :)

Romney: 'I will tell my children I did my duty'


Mitt Romney is addressing the Senate chamber, giving his reasons for voting against his party and the president.

"I'm aware that there are people in my party in my state who strenuously disapprove of my decision," he says.

"I'm sure I'll hear abuse from the president and his supporters," he adds, saying that his decision was made after much praying.

“I believe that attempting to corrupt an election to maintain power is about as egregious an assault on the Constitution as can be made. And for that reason, it is a high crime and misdemeanor and I have no choice under the oath that I took but to express that conclusion."

"We've come to different conclusion fellow senators, but I trust we have all followed the dictates of our conscious".

He concluded: "I will only be one name among many - nor more, no less - to future generations who look back ... I will tell my children I did my duty to the best of my ability.

Not sure what to make of it. Sure he's had his nose so far in the trough for years but this statement is odd, this is what a guilty man looks like that is trying to cover his backside.

I bet he's never prayed in his life, *** swearing must be fully starred out *** hypocrite. Thanks for that.
 
Do you expect people to be surprised about Romney? He's McCain 2.0, and he'll probably be the only republican to vote yes

But I guarantee you there will be more than 1 Democrat that won't vote for removal, and I'll see you back in here when they vote no, yeh?

I do hope we are going to see the start of the pain train, indictments/charges/who knows, but Trump has a few clear months he can get on with things - if not he's just like the others. We will see.
