Homemade rocket man is about to prove the earth is flat...

Must be the wind making the windows look curved? :D

He also is one of those that believes the earth is circled by an Ice Barrier.

He says that no one is allowed anywhere near it, upon pain of death, guarded by a conglomerate of Nato, Chinese and Russian forces! :p

could you launch a drone from a balloon...so the drone could reach a higher ceiling without relying on battery life to get it that high..or are its tiny rotors not going to cut it in the thinner air? I know helicopters have trouble at higher altitudes

It depends on the balloon and the drone, but a balloon could be used to carry a drone far higher than the maximum flying height of the drone. A balloon can get to ~150,000 feet. Nothing heavier than air and dependent on air for lift can fly at that height. The air pressure is too low...heh, I just fed it into an online calculator and it returned an air pressure of zero. So the air pressure is a rounding error off being a vacuum.

Hughes' PR manager says Hughes lied about being a flat earther solely for the purpose of extracting money from flat earthers.

He was probably cleverer than many here who mocked him, I doubt they could even begin to make some form of rocket.
Yes and no.

Clever to design and build a home-made rocket, yes.

Trusting his own life to said home-made rocket... not quite so clever, as it turns out.
