The 2020 Powerlifting Totals table will be for lifts performed ONLY in 2020! Last years and subsequent years totals will be included in this thread for comparisons sake.


I would really recommend you put your totals on this board no matter how big or small. It's a nice way to track your progress and can occasionally generate a bit of competition between members which always results in more gainz


State your 1RM (one rep max) for the 3 big lifts in Kilos. Preferably using a normal Olympic 20kg barbell.

Bench isn't too far from last years strongest, the 230 DL was for reps last week so i don't think that is too far away either. Squat is the one I am going to struggle with i think. Might need to increase the frequency again.

ill throw the lifts up I've done recently to get some numbers on the board, squats are feeling nice lately so hopefully a new PB is close.

I love the fact that this example looks fake, with exaggerated numbers, but this is actually real folks!

Real and drug tested, Norris was a monster. John Haack just beat the total for a new all time world record but he uses chemical assistance, so Norris still owns the tested record.

That is some ridiculous genetics right there. That is around my body weight and while I know I can eek out a bit more due to body fat etc. those numbers are insane.
 
Room for a beginner?
I did take part in 2016 but had a motorbike accident and lost all my gains. My body is ready for lifting heavy again, so here i am back to the start.

Not really tested 1RM properly, but going to try push to the end of this first Madcow Cylcle then do a proper test. Some of the predicted 1RM look a bit mad to me! But lets see.

need to check my body weight but weights are increasing so ill worry about that some other time. finally seeing steady progress again.

I think quite a few of those have bailed.

I'm still around, just haven't logged in, in years. I work long days, and have a family to look after and they're more interesting that chatting on the internet! :D

That said, with this Covid silliness I'm not travelling much (I leave the house at 530am every day) and it's freed up a bit of my time. I won't be posting regularly, but thought I'd say hi!

I went to a gym meet with @Steedie and others a while back. My numbers are still ok for a someone in their 4th decade (200kg+ squats, 220+ deads, 120+ bench).
 
Well, this is probably the strongest I’ll be for a while. The end of the year will be catch up.

Have maxed out most machines.

This will have to do for now. It’s going to be painful starting back.
 
decided to come back after a long break. I wish I still had my gaming PC, especially now with the whole covid 19 thing.

Anyway, training hasn't been too bad. I've managed to move my competition rack and plates home to keep the training going. squatted 210kg beltless in the dining room haha.
