You need to drill to fit a Ring Pro.Got a new (still sealed as listed as unwanted gift) Google Nest Hello on the bay, paid total inc Postage of £152, retails at £229, this is newest version (if there is any hardware difference) as it has the new "G" logo not old "nest" logo
I wondered what the little USB port on rear was for (I do not have rest of kit to install yet like Transformer or PSU) so plugged it in and it powered up (seems it can last 10mins) and set it up on my phone initially using the Nest App then swapping to my existing Google Home App (I did not need Migrate a Next Account as it was new not existing but this is now ongoing for all Next users).
I then decided I will not be buying/fitting a Ringer and will simply begetting alerts on my phone and my Google Next Mini's.
The Nest App is still there after install and has more settings so far than the Home App but I can view it in either.
The only downside I can see to this over a Ring is the need to drill a hole in your brick/wood etc to get it power.
