Lol.
Incomes dropped sharply since 2008, did GPU prices fall to reflect that?
Nope, they increased way beyond anything reasonable climaxing in NV's 2080ti.
You might what to check your own economic illiteracy about the subject at hand, GPU pricing.
We are seeing the cost of manufacturing going up and some component lead times are going up as factories close down. Shipping prices are becoming astronomical (I had a quote to ship a few pallets of goods to China that went from £3200 to £8500 in about a week with FedEx, and it isn't just to China). In short, making the stuff and the logistics around it is getting more expensive, so the goods will get more expensive. How that all interacts with reduced consumer demand as we cut back to weather the storm is unknown. Maybe it balances a bit to stimulate stock movement, maybe it goes up to compensate.

Like I said. Economic illiteracy.
Also, GPU costs are at a peak now. NVIDIA would have to be out of their god damned minds doing massive dies on a new node, in a huge economic downturn, with AMD resurgent and Intel entering the market. Also throw similarly performing consoles into the mix for a fraction of the price, launching sooner or later.
The market is now mature (some would say sucked dry) for ultra premium cards and prices. It barely existed in 2008.
And graphics card aren't only thing which have had ever increasing prices.I know people think they're going to get their shiny new 3080's on the cheap for some reason, I think they're going to be disapointed.
Again, economic illiteracy and poor comprehension.
I was talking about wages which until very recently been stagnant or gone backwards in real terms since the crash, go back and try reading it again. GPU's prices have risen much faster than wages since 2008 which was the point I was making in response to an earlier post.
Are GPU costs at a peak now? we'll see about that. As for NV, we'll see how they price the new cards, they managed a massive price increase over the 1080 series last time, but now suddenly its sucked dry and mature?

That's good to hear! Thanks for the offer, but we do use a number of freight forwarders (find me one that is a one stop shop for 3rd to 3rd shipments everywhere in the world and I'll be interested!)Prices are starting to Level out, i work for a freight agent and got a price for a couple of pallets of medical equipment from china, yeah prices are up slightly but the main thing is containers are moving again. i was speaking to a co-loader who consolidated 40 containers last week which is pretty much like a normal week.
Do you import regularly? if so i could definitely save you on that price you were given by Fedex.

Just look at prices of smartphones.
Sure low end/basic level has stayed steadily priced, but per feature level higher end just keeps becoming more expensive.
Only thing which can stall and reverse price increases in exploitation capitalism, is sheeples waking up and forcing companies to actually compete.
Again, economic illiteracy.
You really don't even have the slightest clue what you're talking about.
People buy these items with disposable income. Hence the graph.
Disposable income has gone up sharply. Not just here, globally - or at least, in the vast majority of developed and developing countries. Hence why you've seen vast expansions in the markets for premium and 'luxury' products in the last 10 years. Across the board, not just in the PC market. That can't happen against a backdrop of stagnant or falling disposable income.
Let me know when GPU prices fall in general, and more importantly (and this is what I was getting at really) when the new NV cards drop, let's see where they're pitched because it will another big increase over the 2080ti IMO. Why? because people paid the incredible gouge price increase last time, and they'll buy this time as well. Just you wait and see, and all the talk of new console releases etc won't matter at all. NV will pitch its cards as high as it can and people will pay. Although it looks like we'll have a longer time to wait and see how that plays out.
A high end Gpu is a luxury item and generally in a recession luxuries are first things to go off people's shopping lists so even if supply is down demand will be too and so will nvidias profits.
I ordered my Asus strix 2080ti from you guys on Monday (Should be here tomorrow)Pound is crazy weak now, re-buy on an item like a 2080Ti has risen by approx £100 since last week!
Our prices are still crazy aggressive and thus were mega competitive as not increased pricing yet, so for those pondering now is a good time to buy, our weekly deals end tomorrow so when all the prices shoot up, don't be crying, this is your window to buy if your looking for parts or an upgrade or wait it out a few months when hopefully it all blows over and passes.
