Do you think the Coronavirus is going to drop or increase GPU prices ?

Thank god they are going into shortage, hopefully no more being produced.

IDK how clued up you are and I don't want to be patronising, but that is not what is happening. The Chinese took their holiday thing, where lots of staff come and go and they were supposed to return to work after it happened. It was Lunar New Year? something like that. Any way, they didn't return as they usually did and thus production is on the floor. I would imagine that is why there is a shortage. Not because Nvidia have EOL but simply because they are just not being made in the volume expected. It couldn't have been timed any worse. They ramp up, go away for a while and the supply they made then is supposed to last until they return. Only they haven't. I heard that even if they had tons of stock ready to ship it would be a bit difficult if there's only two guys shipping. Many of the tech channels told people to buy now if they were considering pulling the trigger soon and it was because of word from China.

I don't think Nvidia are in any rush to release their next cards. Why would they? they're still way ahead. AMD have been slowed by the consoles and will have to send out production for those and they are in the spotlight right now so will be the main priority. They'll use every chance they can get to sell out of their current gen cards at higher prices. They're in no rush. If they were Jen would have done a live stream. The fact they just vanished is quite telling I reckon.

High priced items will not be the priority right now. We may even see a gap like we did from the 200 series to the 400 series, where Nvidia had nothing on the shelves for months. Also, sadly for many high priced items will be on the bottom of the priority list right now too. Many are going to lose their jobs, some maybe even their businesses and homes.

Yeah probably all true, but still hopefully no more being produced the 2000 series needs to be consigned to history asap it was not Nvidia's finest hour.

Music to my ears.
Except that isn't how it works.

Supply goes down? Prices go up.
Supply goes up? Prices go up.
Demand goes down? Prices go up.
Demand goes up? Prices go up.

You're in the market for something specific? The price goes up ... lots.

Forget economic theory.. reality is prices go up and up and up and that's it :p

You are forgetting something.

When 95% of the population are worrying where their next pay is coming from and if they will be able to eat in 3 months time.
WHO THE **** is buying a graphics card!?!?
You can't sell Lamborghinis in rural Africa. If you want to. Prices HAVE to come down. or you just end up with piles of stock.

I just made £439 after fees selling a Asus strix 1080ti yesterday, the card had served me well for nearly 3 years and I paid £666 for it. I thought people would be put off in the current climate but that doesn't seem to be the case.

So tempting to buy a gpu right now, just a cheeky 5700xt to max out iracing to pass the time whilst isolating. I want to wait for new gpus, just wish i knew when they were coming. Price's seem pretty stagnant at the moment.

Shame about your post count, one on members market for £260.

Found a 2070 super, super bargain, so moved onto that, thanks for the idea though!
Under £400? Would have to be I assume as it ain’t worth over £100 more than a 5700XT which is very similar performance from what I understand.

That's what I have done,
I bought a AORUS RADEON RX 5700 XT last week when they were still on offer from here.
I game on A Samsung TV now with freesync and haven't noticed to much difference from my old 1080 ti to be honest.

You sure it is a super? Brand new? That is good if so. It ain’t from a dude named Oliver is it? :p
It is from a guy named oliver, can cancel if ive made a bit mistake, all looks correct except the low price, pressumed with the site it was in safe hands?
