Had a quick bash at that recently. Looked very good. But decided to revisit it in the future once I do not have any games left that I fancy playing. Still have a few left in my steam library that I need to finish.

Question, is the cost of the game just for Pt1 or for the whole game, meaning when pt2 comes out you get to download it for free?

Edit: When you guys ordered did it have the warning about next shipment Wedesday the 8th or has all the stock gone?

It's being released as full priced episodes but the justification (valid or not) is that they've added more content so the episodes will be longer than the equivalent part of the original game.

I'd have much preferred just the entire game but if reports are correct then there are still 40+ hours of playtime which holds up pretty well compared to most other titles.

Stock would have gone. Literally ordered mine and then it said out of stock, then changed to back order. Mine says its been shipped too. Have bought a ps4 Pro just for this game

But they are expanding the game. As long as we get 30-40 hours of gameplay I am happy.

Without any real knowledge of the remake I can understand lots of people see it this way. It's equivalent to a full PS4 game (comes in 2 discs). The digital download itself is about 100 gb with 30-40 normal game hours.

Much much longer, I was surprised (seen for myself, it's far bigger without getting into spoilers)

There's side missions and what not, but the main story is the same, Square have fleshed out a lot more from the original and expanded on it (again without spoiling I can't go into detail). But I will say what often seems like made up stuff much of it is just fleshed out content from the original.
