I watches for 20 mins and he was mostly talking politics and how much the Democrats were obstructing his plans. I stopped after that. Too much political waffle and not pertinent to management of the virus.
That makes no sense in relation to my post.
Many people from working class backgrounds make it big. Like Alan Sugar for example. So he's a person who can relate to the average "working man" because he started out like that. Explain how Donald Trump can relate to a working class person? Or how a working class person can find him relatable. It's beyond me.
I understand his appeal to anti establishment but certainly don't understand how people think hes relatable.
Trump claims he doesnt know why his name is getting added to the cheques and doesnt know anything about it. What a disgraceful liar. How can anyone say he has integrity and sincerity. He just cannot stop lying.
I think it's fair to say that continuing non-treatment of (what I have some grounds to suspect) his undiagnosed allergy is causing critics to rejoice. In this thread and elsewhere.

In the interim, it's a fair bet that some of the more vehement critics of the US way of life and system will likely still be denied entry to US soil by Homeland Security for their indulgent online agitations per standard policy.

As far as I'm aware the US isn't quite a dictatorship yet and homeland security have slightly better things to do than go looking for people who have criticised Trump for being a clueless idiot online, if they did that they'd have to close the US border to well over half the world (and deny entry to an ever increasing number of their own citizens).
No it hasn't, just because you say it has doesn't make it true, like you say that's your subjective judgment it's not actually reality though. Yes there's always been people on "team A or B" but the severity of polarization that we're seeing in today's world is in large part down to people such as Trump, that's what demagogues do, he may not have created the situation but he's most certainly exploited it for his own gains.
No. Trump used the discontent in society cause by the 08 financial crisis like so many demagogues had done before him, he used, is using, peoples emotions, prejudice, and ignorance to his own advantage, he like so many demagogues before him is stoking those fires and keeping them going because without that he's go nothing. The reason I'm so confident in saying that is because typically people in his position don't try to make the situation that you rightly or wrongly describe, worse, they don't play on the you're either with us or against us narrative, in fact they typically try to play that down as unlike Trump history has taught them where such actions lead.
The fact that you're using the term "progressive" just goes to show how much you've bought into the narrative of those that seek to divide us, the term is used in the same vain as SJW, woke, and ice crystals that fall from the sky, it's simply a means to keep us fighting amongst ourselves so we don't turn our attention to the real problem.
And the reason it exists, or at least continues to exist, is because people like Trump have exploited it, that's what demagogues do, instead of trying to lessen the divide between people they use it to their advantage.

People are angry at Trump because he's a liar and a cheat. Not because he's richer or more successful than them. I have huge respect for the likes of Bill Gates or Steve Jobs.
