Seems well built with decent thought gone into a lot of the parts that normally wear. Just ordered a Husqvarna Petrol Strimmer as well

They don't make the motors, Briggs & Stratton, Honda or Kawasaki. My current mower has a Honda engine and is better than the previous (2) fitted with Briggs & Stratton.

Mine has a Briggs & Stratton, which despite the criticism they seem to get was the one part of my old mower that was reliable and dead easy to service/fix.

3 or 4 of those and you are well on the way. Good memories of this stuff, I barely ever drink cider now but might see if I can get hold of some of those.

When you consider 6 bottles of this is around the same units of alcohol as a 700ml bottle of vodka, it's easy to understand how quickly it gets you in a merry state

There's a reason Briggs & Stratton engines are a mainstay of this kind of thing, they're lazy, slow, simple, under stressed engines which if maintained properly will outlast anything.


Funny story, as always, when I was a kid my uncle had this gardener. I had a fascination with anything mechanical and something that had an engine was the holy grail for me. Eventually I got talking to this chap about his mower and he said he couldn't hear me so he turned the mower off. He did this by using a stick to lift the very loose spark plug cap off the spark plug. He then let me pull-start it, which as a little giddy boy was very exciting. I then went to turn it off by replicating what he did, except I didn't use a stick.

Anyone who's ever had a jolt from a spark plug will know what this must've looked like, I'm pretty sure that man is laughing to this day.

Really struggling to find Old Rosie over the last year in shops, can still be bought from their website though so not discontinued.

The westons vintage is sneaky, can absolutely batter you as it's 4.4 units of alcohol a bottle but really refreshing.

It's funny how some products seem scarce in different areas, although I know that live not too far from where it is made, you can find old rosie in most shops around here.

4x 500ML bottles for £6 at Asda. I gave it a try and WOW it blew me away. I now get at least 4 bottles when they are in stock when I go shopping. Picked up 8 this morning and am already into my 2nd bottle. It is great with ice on a warm sunny day.

They always seem to have Old Rosie at Asda in Telford, either have a lot of stock or not much demand for it.

Yeah for an American Cider, Angry Orchard is lovely. I am enjoying one as I type, it's on tap at my local - looking forward to enjoying one in the sun when this all is over.

If Angry Orchard was on tap where I am then they would see a lot of me. Non of my mates have tried it and they are cider drinkers, when we get a chance to meet up again I will have a few bottles for them to try out.

The variants are even better, not a massive cider fan but would drink them a lot when I lived in the US and it was too hot!

I will keep an eye out for the other variants and I never put ice in my alcohol. However, I do put alcohol over my ice when needed though.

I am impressed and surprised that the US can produce such a nice cider! Surely there is some sort of witchcraft at hand here?
