Hi guys, I can get a Gainward GeForce GTX 1650 Pegasus OC 4GB for £110... do you think that should be ok for a "quick and dirty" stop-gap solution until AMpere is released?
Specs here: https://www.game-debate.com/hardware/index.php?gid=4525&graphics=GeForce GTX 1650 Gainward Pegasus OC 4GB
I could also keep it as a long-term spare for when I ever change GPU's. A 1660 Super is almost 2x the price at £204.
That's a really weak card at 1440p. Even the RX 570 and 580 easily beats that card. If you want a cheap tide you over 1440p card, here you have a Fury for £150 (this was the 980 ti competitor):

It should be on par on average with a 1660 Super. But some newer titles at 1440p the VRAM may struggle with. You could even try to message them to bring the price down.
Edit - just checked and the Fury gives 48 FPS average on Witcher 3 with Ultra settings at 1440p compared to 50 FPS average of a 1660 Super.
