If so, what are your reasons, e.g. don't mind paying more for a high end Nvidia GPU, more powerful raytracing hardware.
Personally, I'd just go with whatever is best value and is at least 100% faster in all areas of theoretical performance compared to my Radeon R9 390. I'd probably pay slightly more for an equivalent Nvidia card, assuming the drivers really are better just to avoid crashes.
My brother has a GTX 1080 and I noticed that the Nvidia control panel has a lot more options for DSR compared to AMD's VSR, I wonder if 8K is possible on most Nvidia cards yet?
Another thing in Nvidia's favour is TXAA, AMD doesn't really have their own equivalent temporal AA, which (unlike many), I think is a very good thing.
Not bothered about RT, to me this seems entirely optional and will improve over time anyway as the tech matures, or GPUs are fast enough to do RT without specialised RT hardware.
Ofc, AMDs cards are likely to be quite a bit cheaper, unless Nvidia is forced to reduce prices...
The other factor to take into account is console prices, I'd feel a bit silly if I brought a GPU that cost more than the gen consoles, with potentially worse performance.
