It's for my 7 year old grandson to play some older and a few newer kids games like Lego batman and planet zoo games like thatDepends what you want or need. Want PCI-E Gen 4? Get a newer board. Want the option to run Gen 1 Ryzen chips forever more? Don’t get this board.
Thanks mate have you got one yourselfThey are a smashing board to pair with a 3000 series ryzen chip.
Thanks mate thats good to know like I said its for my grandson I've got ryzen 3700x and gigabyte x570 elite but am putting a 3600 in his and trying to keep cost down as much as poss without losing much performance he won't need gen 4 and probably pick up a second hand card off mm or a 1660 super to start withYes my wife system is a MSI 450 tomohawk max, and when i upgrade my own rig very recently i plumped for the MSI MAG x570 tomahawk
The is a nifty 2 layer nvme drive bay on the 450 MAX, it supports all current chips and likely 4000 series later, but if you are building pair a 3600 with a 450 MAX and decent ram and you've a system that kick whatever it needs to for a right while. Your level of output will only be helped/hindered by whichever GFX you aim for to match with it.
The board is about 120, a ryzen 3600 can be picked up for 155-160, the stock cooler is perfecly sufficient. Match in some decent Ram, and all you'll need is to decide what level of GFX card you wish to go for.
