1080Ti or mistyped 2080Ti?

wth £300!!! urrgh, they go secondhand on ebay for £400
OC/UK, a long-established successful business accepts my opening offer of £300 for a B-Grade 1080ti and gives 90 days warranty, muggins on ebay drops £400 plus happily on a used card with no warranty - you tell me, who's the one who really knows what its worth today? a clue, it isn't the (buying, not selling) mug on e-Bay. Sellers are laughing as they should be.

Also a little bit baffled by the PSU calculators...

A combination of overestimating due to crap PSU's and manufacturers wanting people to spend more money than they need.

There's probably countless people out there that know to buy a decent supply rather than junk, but have no clue as to how much power their systems actually use. I've seen more than one person on computer forums with a 1000W Platinum unit powering a low/mid range APU build.

To be honest a large part of why you got it for £300 will be because all the time it sits on the shelf it is worth £0 to them and its value is decreasing daily.

Better to sell it to you and do you a good turn than wait another year until the next person comes along and offers less.

A sale of convenience for a large business who can afford to do it, and a happy customer.

Just to update, power meter thingy arrived. With both 390's pegged in Folding@Home I'm seeing 630W draw, if I chuck the CPU into the mix as well I'm seeing just shy of 700W draw.

So assuming that the PSU is 85% efficient as per its 80+ Silver rating, thats 595W being provided to the system out of the possible 894W my 750W unit can provide, split into 744W +12V and 150W 5V +3.3V.

Almost all of that will be 12V usage in a modern PC though but you could probably knock off another 20W being used by non 12v items.

Another 170W left in it before it even hits its rating. Could probably use a 650W PSU. :D

I turn PC on. It works fine. I'm happy.
