But you are forgetting one thing. The LC vegan 64 didn't require a 12pin connector on a higher nm die shrink. Therefore, a false equivalence.
Beefier psu to all how buy them. :p

I will lol at threads with that card using a 600watt psu with ctd, etc though. :D
:p

If a Vega 64 can melt the power plug on an 8pin to 2x6+2 splitter on a quality Platinum PSU, imagen what will happen when people start running the same type of cable through an adaptor to that new 12pin... You are going from like 300-350 watts maximum on that single cable to a plug that wants to pull 400-450 at least if it's unleashed... I smell burnt plastics :D and a lot of tears

I hope they read the fine print. I recall a few post on reddit with crashing in games, ctd, doesn't start, etc with the 5700xt using a 450watt, riser cards, using a splitter power cable from a low power psu, etc. And they couldn't for the life of them figure out the problem.:confused:. Albeit, not all b/s were user error.
Remember this video: https://youtu.be/yFYPUaUy0eI
430Watt, multi-plug extension cords crisscrossing across the room, riser card with video card causally laying on top, splitter power cable to video card, etc (the comments are still golden)
Ampere, it's your turn!!! :D

That was painful to watch, Way too much low IQ rambling... but with in 30 seconds i knew what the problem was, PCIe riser with a PCIe4 card, with PCIe4 the traces need to be short, which with a PCIe riser they aren't... and she had to use a PCIe plug from another computer because this one didn't have it? how old is that PSU and what wattage output is it?

Technology... its complixaiteded...

She had both a Corsair CX430 and for the second computer a Thermaltake 500 I believe. She had another video with the card on her "bench" but she deleted that as she was vehemently rebuked in the comments but left the 2nd video which is the one I linked. Therefore, in the this video she shows the thermaltake psu. But if you watch the 1st 5 seconds of it you see the 5700xt on her bench setup.

If you can cringe through the video you will see extension cords for power and all sorts of lol worthy stuff.

But for reference, how many will use all 3 plugs in ampere? Not reading the fine print...

I'd rather not if you don't mind? one 15-minute session of yokel rambling technology is quite enough for one lifetime....

Read the comments to see the problem that AMD are facing against Nvidia to gain sales. Funny how pretty much all the AMD users come across as pretty sensible in comparison to the Nvidiots in there who have no clue what they are talking about. There are a few sensible nvidia users in there who point out the problems but in the main it's the old AMD drivers have been rubbish for over 15 years and AMD is cheap garbage :D:D:D:D:D

Switching from an ancient Nvidia card that just worked in an ancient system and expecting plug in and play.... That is a serious problem especially given that AMD's GPU's tend to be seen as the affordable option, people who have high end up to date systems more often than not also know what they are doing, they understand the components they are installing, people who go for the affordable option often don't and have problematic systems.

RTG really tight lipped on their RDNA 2 cards this go. Not sure how to take it.
I'm assuming its a good sign. I'd rather this than a transparent tissue of lies or half truths. No 'poor Ampere' or 'overclockers dream' nonsense is to be preferred. If RDNA2 is amazing then great, if not then OK at least AMD haven't directly added to the disappointment by building false/great expectations. Not sure I know what the dickens I'm talking about tbh.
