NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Maybe I am out of date. I will have a watch later cheers.
What am not sure of is look at the Vram usage on the right side of the screen saying 10.4GB in my picture compared to the game built in reading on the left saying 7106mb :confused:

I need to do some more testing with different software

Were you actually serious when you said that? really? so every other card apart from the 3090 is going to be useless?

There has always existed this phrase "Fast enough". Which you don't seem to understand, clearly.

Yes I agree, for almost all normal people who don't use their PC for gaming or productivity the phrase "Fast enough" is just that, they mostly only buy a PC when a it breaks as long it does the job they happy.

Mhmmmmmmmm

I posted this last night of my system using 10.5GB of Vram at 3440x1440 (It was all 11GB the other day) in FS 2020

How is 4128x1700 1440p? You could put it on a 520p 14 inch monitor, comps still pushing 4128x1700^^

Do 4k and then DSR it 2.5x like a real man

10GB really isn't enough.

I think the main issue here is some here are in that ultra enthusiasts section, ones who upgrade everytime there is a new card. For them, 10GB isn't an issue. Vast majority here I would bet dont and while still enthusiasts, upgrade every other (like myself).

I've had my 1080 since launch, so over 4 years ago. I'll be purchasing a 3080 or AMD (Likely AMD by way rumours are going but we will see), I really can't see 10GB lasting the same 4 year gap.

Really should have been at least 12GB, ideally 16GB.

There is also zero chance I'm buying a 3090 at some ungodly £1200 odd or whatever it is, while I could afford it for me personally it represents horrendous value for money.

those aib cards will be mighty expensive but im going to do what i did for my 1080ti fe`s and buy a waterblock and get the FE 3090 and presto much cheaper and better cooling to handle this monster under OC :D

10GB will be plenty, you know me and how often I switch my stuff ;) :p
If the 3070 8GB turns out to be priced as I think then I may just get that and go for the Super edition later or the 4070 in 2 years time. All depends on pricing in the end. If the difference between the 16gb and 8gb is say £50 or so then I would opt for the 16gb now. But if £100 extra then I will make do with 8gb until something else comes up on members market later :p

I think I will be preordering the 3090 FE but may cancel it if there is not much difference with the 3080 20gb in the benchmarks. Damnnn, 4k gaming is too expensive!!

So you think 10gb will be plenty at 4K for the next 2-3 years?

I am looking to get a 3070 which if all the rumours are true will have 8gb only. Will that be enough for the next 2-3 years at 4K?

Will that 3070 have enough grunt in it to push 4k for 2-3years and actually make use of more than 8GB?
