I do wonder how many people would be rushing to defend this chap if he was a white drug dealer. Suspect nobody.

Or let's say a white rapist. Or a white fascist. Or a white... well, anything unsavoury :p

This is the whole point of BLM - to convince people that all black people are victims, even the criminals that get shot whilst resisting arrest, having a few minutes earlier threated officers with a knife. Whilst having a active arrest warrant.

All incredibly brave, and all very innocent, by virtue of being black.

Heck, two of BLMs agenda items are to defund the police and divert black people away from prison. Because every black man in prison is an act of racism (systemic), no matter who they are or what they did to get put inside. Racism, y'all. It's your (literal) get-out-of-jail-free card ;) Or would be if the country was run by BLM.

It just illustrates how far gone this "woke" nonsense is, they've got it in their heads that there is some huge issue within the black community of black people being shot and/or killed by the police, when there really doesn't seem to be at all... you're very unlikely to be shot and/or killed by the police (especially if you're not a criminal) , the way bigger risk as far as being shot or killed if you're black and live in a predominantly black area in a US city is from black criminals and even that is rather unlikely.

Whole thing is based on a total misunderstanding of risk and the increasing demonization of police officers is only going to harm these communities, the apparent Ferguson effect (police officers being more cautious about even proactive policing the area, not worth the hassle) is a possible risk, as is simply the effects of crime increasing, businesses closing, economically active people moving away etc.. The last thing the US needs in the Covid fall out is for more cities (or parts of cities) to progress downwards, Detroit style or South Side of Chicago style etc..

Not long ago there were SJWs claiming all sorts of things were "rape" and college campuses were alive with rape culutre hysteria... yet here we have an actual sex attacked and it's all "say his name" etc.. as though he's died or something.

One thing just struck me... since she's kind of been forgotten about in all of this - the on/off ex GF who initially called the police, the "baby mama" & his sex assualt victim... there doesn't seem to be an SJW fundraiser for her... that's not part of the narrative. Is she now going to be under pressure to drop the charges? In fact... bit of a random one but you never know - it would be quite ironic if she now gets back together with him too - now he's a "hero" etc.. with 2.1 million in the bank.
 
In this situation he had committed a crime, someone called the cops, they turned up and he decided to resist arrest.

As someone else said if this had been a white guy he would have been condemned.

It seems there are different standards for people.

There is a difference between someone who does the right thing and gets shot to someone who doesn't do the right thing and gets shot.
 
I'm really confused at this whole GoFundMe trend at the moment. It doesn't matter what bad stuff you've done in the past, people will throw cash at you if you're being stuck up on the social justice pedestal.

Obviously the guy will have very different living expenses now but if the police are found to be at fault he'll be getting a big payoff (that will be interesting to see).

Meanwhile, plenty of homeless people are suffering who could be helped with that sort of money but no-one gives a damn about that... I mean, people can do what they want with their own money but it seems absolutely Radio Rental to me.

Well I guess he’ll not have any issues paying child support to his ex GF/abuse victim/mother of his children...

In fact perhaps she can sue him too for the sexual assault, harrasment etc...
 
Let's just wait until we have the full facts, then everyone can reach the correct conclusion on who was at fault. Oh no wait it's impossible to find out the truth these days because Fox will present one version and CNN will present another, and most people will choose their preferred one based on whether they like Trump or not. It's hard for me to tell if the internet has obfuscated the truth or whether it's exposed the fact that we never really knew and were just fed whatever the mainstream media wanted us to believe all along.
 
Lot to say about this but fundamentally it comes down to the same thing it always does. He failed to comply with police commands and left the officer with no other option. Had he followed commands he would be fine. Whether he had a prior, had a knife etc. Is all irrelevant. You don't reach into a car when you have a gun pointed at you unless you're a moron.
