I think I have it covered.
I have 6 PSUs @1200W and 2 PSUs @1500W, not even a GTX 3090 can use that much, can it?
So you getting a 3090 then, owners thread will be interesting.

Yup, I imagine that few people on this forum know what it was like to really see the true birth of GPU's, going from completely unaccelerated to accellerated graphics, and instead all they know are games that have always looked pretty and surrounded by this more modern cycle of evolutionary GPU releases.
The 90's and early 2000's were truly amazing times for PC (and also I guess console) gaming, a collection of the best and most creative and original titles ever created and I feel privileged to have been a part of it at an age where I could still be considered wide-eyed and impressionable. Few games have really given me the same sense of wonder and discovery since.![]()
What ******* reports!?!?already with reports of incredibly limited supply of 3090

Like it or not (and a lot of PCMR types hate it), the consoles dictate the lie of the gaming landscape.
The consoles are about to have their usable memory doubled.
People who think that isn't going to have an impact on game development - or up the requirements on PC hardware - I think they will be proven wrong, albeit perhaps not immediately, but steadily as more "next gen" games are released.

It's not an age thing. You got a new GPU back then and it literally made the game look 20 times better! It wasn't even just about FPS. It changed how it looked! it was amazing. And affordable.l
Thats probably just an age thing. We all feel that way about our teens/early twenties. VR did similar to me when i tried in a few months back, but it wore off quick.

Seems many already answered on my behalfThere are no reviews yet, the review sites don't even have cards yet.
It’s my money, I worked hard for it and will spend it how I see fit!If the prices are as expected, I'm out for this round. People can panic buy as many as they want for all I care. Just bear in mind you are just validating nvidia's price gouging and helping to turn this into a market for just the elite few who are prepared to pay £1k+ for a video card.
If this continues, the pc will no longer be a viable platform as there just won't be enough games sales to be worth the cost of developing. I can see a lot of people jumping ship to the new consoles over the next couple of years.
I thought that too. He keeps saying he won’t, but he probably will, kinda like GregsterSo you getting a 3090 then, owners thread will be interesting.
It's not just an age thing... it was the dawn of PC gaming and some of the most famous, nay legendary, titles were released during that time. Learn your PC gaming history.![]()
Vid for you potential 3080/90 owners worried about your PSU.

It's what often happens when a PC is basically your primary means of entertainment and the hobby turns into compulsive and obsessive behaviour. I was definitely on that side of the line once so I know and understand it well!Panic buying GPU's???
..What utterly moronic behaviour.
I really do despise elements of the PC gaming fraternity.

It is an age thing. Anyone who is around 40 now lived through that period of huge development - and now youre looking back with nostalgia. The graphics were crap compared to what we have now.
