Guess it was true. Really need to get a 4K 120hz screen...

What game is that please? As I keep being told the 3070 is faster than the 2080ti in everything yet it's 5.5% slower there............

Interesting to see that the 3090 is 20% faster than the 3080 as expected.

I brought the 780 and then 980 at release for £450 & £440 accordingly from Overclockers. The 1080 I brought a couple at £529 for other people's builds I've done (not fe model).

So that price increase from those three is between £110 to £210 over what the previous 80 series cards were able to be brought at on release.

The 2080 made the jump to £699 and this gen is similar at £649 for the 3080or £639 (non fe) so that is the visible difference in pricing I'm seeing.

The 980ti had the £649 retail price at release too. These cards are coming out as I said at exactly the same RRP as the previous gen which everyone was slamming Nvidia for but now praising. It's mental and shows how used to stupid prices people have got over the last two years!

It is fair enough, for me the price and performance of the 3080 is worth the upgrade from my 1080, if you don't agree then let Nvidia know it by not buying their products and hope AMD release something comparable for £150 less

Looking to upgrade from my 980ti, which card would suit me best for 4k 60fps?

My monitor is the BenQ PD3200U 32inch 4k monitor, with a max refresh rate of 60hz I believe.

I mostly play sims like Assetto Corsa/Competizione and now Flight Simulator 2020, so I'm looking at a rock solid 60fps and max settings, would the 3080 be overkill, or will the 3070 suffice?

I tend not to upgrade frequently, so ideally would like something to keep me going for at least 3-4 years, as the majority of my gaming is on consoles.

I have an i7 9700k and 16gb DDR4 ram as well.

Best card?

The 3090.

Pfft I dont want guesstimates. What good are guesstimates? I wondered why the guesstimates match my own guesstimates :P

Has there been any mention as to the stock level of the cards upon release?

I assume there will be very low stock and will be sold out in minutes.

Gibbo says there is going to be loads. But then again there might be loads of people buying....................Nobody knows yet if they will all sell out within minutes, despite Gibbo having 100,000 in stock or you will be able to buy whichever card you want, when you want.

Me, I will ordering at 1 second past 2pm :)

Actually, at higher frame rates overall smoothness didn't change. But look at the pretty numbers :D

But how many on average have 4k/120 monitors. There isn't much to choose from.

Loads of people have swapped or are just about to swap to the LG 48" cx screens so we just need cards that can deliver the goods :)

You cant used british pounds to compare prices of GPU's because our exchange rate is wildly different between each release. You have to compare the base dollar price to see if there has actually been an increase in price direct from nvidia.
