NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

I know its lock down and stuff in a lot of parts of the world but seriously those videos wonder how much they spent? Did the guys in the gigabyte sweat block get payed a 3090 each for the video?

I feel you, that's bad needing 3, god knows how many they have if any come release day, Gibbo said he'd have more information this week for people who want them.

Well its just one of those things, nothing much I can do about it other than put more pressure on my account manager, or find a single extra card somewhere else, no doubt gouged to death.

Any you ampere buyers getting cold feet with rdna 2 claims.
not really, i have TV that supports Freesync & gsync (LG CX48) so now free of the lockdown but from track record AMD have long been the best performance.
currently want very high end which generally is not AMDs aim

Ugh, the more I think about it... the only graphically demanding PC game I'll be playing before Christmas might be Cyberpunk 2077 (if I don't buy on console). I'm truly wondering whether it's wise to spend £600+ on a new gpu when I'm only really going to play one big game. I might just hold off from buying next week and see what AMD are offering first at least, consoles are usually my main gaming platforms (90% of my friends are on console).

Played metro exodus? Fantastic SP experience and will tax your system well. As will red dead 2

I'm hoping they're not priced gouged ,if the miners in China have hoovered up first stocks then it's going to be a nightmare for a lot of people.

Almost guaranteed there are more stories online saying miners are sweeping up all the stock than there are actual miners sweeping up the stock. With many publications ripping every other publications stories off for hits this is the way.

Unless you're paying next to nothing for electricity or the price of crypto increases significantly, it will take ages to break even.

But if you're worried, on 17th September at 2pm keep mashing F5 and lock in your price and stock by putting an order in. It's not difficult.

I really hope those are not accurate. Jensen and DF made it sound better than that... Would be a bit of anticlimax unless they drop the price a little.

If they are maxed settings then that is pretty decent considering the jump over a 2080Ti and the perf jump with dlss which looks better than native in most cases.

I’d be more concerned about stock levels to be honest.

People in a few days wondering they go 3080 or wait for big navi. (This works for both threads :p)
