I'm guessing that when the dust settles the 3080 will end up about 60% faster than a 1080ti which isn't a great increase for the same price after 4 years.
In the reviews though it will be compared to the 2080ti and even if it's only 25% faster it will be lauded due to the price of $699 which was the normal price for these cards before the outlying 2080ti but now it looks like we're getting an amazing price cut when it reality it's just a return to the norm.
