NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

@Adrian1976 im trying to grab Any of em FE is first choice then Inno3d i dont care what cooler there is as its going under water. Im interested also how good it mines :D Btw HAve You heard that FE cooler costs 120-130$ to make alone ?? Fantastic move from NV finally good standard card. Shame AMD got worst freaking coolers last 9 years.....

I bet the miners are interested in it lol.

Isn't that a remarkably low barrier to achieve though? It looks great for owners of cards that came out 4 years ago, which is an age in computer hardware.

To be fair - going by the presentation - these models are much more about trying to persuade Pascal owners to part with their money than targetted at those who have Turing GPUs already - I suspect they will be aiming at 2000 series owners with a refresh.

Is there 9 memory chips on that card?

That's the gist of it or the way I see it, pretty much said that in the presser.

I'd be ****** if I just sold my 2080ti though, they may go back up in value.

If the 4x speed of turding when mining is real will be Ace for me. That will pay me off Next gpu upgrade also :D

Not sure which country but last I read somewhere would take a year to repay itself lol, I'm guessing that's probably running 24/7 by which time I reckon it will burn out :D

Naaa you are just stupid. My passcal titan mined 3 years NON STOP works like dream. Mined over 2000 pounds on it thats why i got FREE 3080. Man this card been on 24/7 since DAY ONE thats what watercooling gets you :) Never seen temperature above 50c where stock Titans are 70c+

If You are interested enough do research about impact of operating temperature on silicone degradation

That is a fair point, but even if that is a stated aim, it's a reasonably remarkable one. A bit like AMD releasing the 4000's processors and basing their marketing around saying you can upgrade from your 2700x now.

All of this negativity without any legit reviews, I wish it was Wednesday already to put this to bed, one way or the other!

Wasn't the 2080ti pretty meh on release but stretched it's legs later on?

LOL tinfoil hat, is that his mom's basement?

Yeah, looks like he's hiding out there after escaping an Nvidia detention camp.

But still, the 3080 is looking like a pretty poor card. The only reason it looks decent to some people, it that the 2080ti was even worse.

Modest power increases and a decent increase in vram and I'd have been all over it, but as such, I think I'll wait and just enjoy the constant depreciation of my 2080ti. All the while playing some awesome games in 4k60 for a couple of years.
